Today, my fiance and I, along with our friends Mike and Christle and their two kids went to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to the All Truck Nationals.  Carlisle is a very popular location for various car events in this locale.  From old trucks, customized trucks, lowered trucks, semis, fire trucks and monster trucks.  My favorites were the old Chevy and Ford trucks.

My fiance has his CDL license and has a special fondness for customized Peterbilts.  Actually, pretty much anything with an engine he’s in love with.  He calls his car his “second girlfriend.”  That’s OK, because I’m a car fanatic myself.  I can’t say that I’m in love with just any car, but I’m partial to the F-body, also known as a Firebird or Camaro.  I own a 1994 Pontiac Trans Am GT and dream to own a variety of F-bodies.  I’m a muscle car girl and I love to hate on the Mustang but I think what every F-body driver won’t tell you is that if there wasn’t such a thing as a Camaro or Trans Am, they’d be driving a Mustang.  I know I would, but only because I can’t afford a Corvette!!

As for Corvettes, August 28-30 is the Corvettes at Carlisle event.  For $14 per adult and children under 12 free, you can witness the Corvette Burn Out Competition or have a Q&A with Mario Andretti.  At 3pm on Sunday, they will be giving a Corvette away.  I can dream, can’t I?
